Denim in Kojima
Kojima, in Kurashiki, Okayama, is the center of Japanese denim manufacturing, home to specialist workshops for sewing, washing and finishing. For denim, we work with these workshops to carry out sewing, washing and distressing in Kojima.
Production Management
Denim production involves separate specialists for sewing, washing and distressing, and trims such as buttons, rivets, leather patches and labels.
We manage the entire process on your behalf, from placing work with each workshop to production scheduling and quality control.
Fabric Sourcing
We source fabric to match your requirements, selecting from a range of mills according to the weight, color and character you are looking for.
Wash Development
We can develop washes and distressing from reference photos.
Providing a physical reference sample allows us to achieve a closer match, so we recommend sending one where possible.
Patterns
- We accept pattern files in DXF (AAMA/ASTM) format.
- Pattern making is available if required.
- For supplied patterns, we first confirm that wash shrinkage has been allowed for. Where it has not, pattern adjustment will involve additional cost and time.
Small-Lot Production
We accommodate small production runs. Quantities can be discussed together with your specifications.
